Who we are
Every year thousands of perfectly saveable cars get scrapped because they failed an MOT, stopped running, or have just been sat on a driveway too long. Birmingham Autos was set up to give those cars a second chance.
We buy unwanted cars, including MOT failures, non-runners, cars with mechanical faults, barn finds and forgotten classics. Then we sell them on to the people who'll put them back on the road. That means home mechanics, restorers, classic car enthusiasts, motor traders and anyone looking for a cheap project.
Who our cars are for
Project cars
Runners that need a clutch, a cambelt or some welding. Fix them up and save a fortune on a car you know inside out.
Restoration projects
Classics and modern classics that deserve saving, from Volkswagens and Land Rovers to Porsches, Mercedes and Rolls-Royces.
Spares or repair
Non-runners and donor cars, ideal for parts or for someone who enjoys a challenge.
How we sell
Honest descriptions
Every known fault is listed on the advert, including any insurance write-off record. Each car is also tagged with its condition, such as MOT failure, non-runner or restoration project.
Check it yourself
We show the registration and chassis number on the advert wherever we have them, and we'll give them to you on request. That way you can look up the car's history before you visit.
Come and look
Viewing and inspection are always welcome, so bring a mechanic or a torch. Non-runners will need a trailer or transport to collect.
Got an unwanted car?
Failed MOT, won't start, too expensive to fix, or just in the way? We'll make you an offer instead of you scrapping it. Send us the registration, mileage and a few photos and we'll come back to you with a price.
